Drawbar Trailers Technical Advisory Procedure

Developed by the ATA’s Industry Technical Council, the Drawbar Trailer Technical Advisory Procedure provides operators with consistent and clear, advice about the design, fabrication, and maintenance of drawbar trailers.

All procedures demand consistency, as Australia has a very diverse fleet with some equipment sourced globally. Therefore it is recommended that training should include different equipment which may be used across a fleet.

Compliant Brake Actuators Technical Advisory Procedure

Brake actuators are a critical part of an effective brake system. Often, these actuators are considered a commodity and the cheapest part is purchased which has resulted in poor performance and service life of these critical component. This updated technical advisory procedure developed by the ATA Industry Technical Council provides information on acceptable air brake actuator build standards, a brake actuator compliance table, and warnings against seeking to disassemble a spring brake actuators.
