The Australian Trucking Association’s travelling road safety exhibition, the Safety Truck, will be on tour through Gippsland from 22 to 27 March to coincide with the final week of the Gippsland Truckies Lighting up for Safety campaign.

Organised by the Gippsland Safe Freight Network, the Truckies Lighting Up for Safety campaign calls on trucking operators in Gippsland to turn on their headlights to reduce daytime collisions and draw attention to the ‘invisible truck’ phenomenon.

The Australian Trucking Association’s travelling road safety exhibition, the Safety Truck, will visit Goulburn on Sunday 16 March as part of the Goulburn Heritage Parade and Picnic.

Members of the public can visit the truck in Belmore Park from 10am to try out the new road safety apps and the kid’s pedal cart track. The Safety Truck prime mover will take part in the parade down Auburn Street from 1pm.

Ron Finemore Transport is driving safety forward by sponsoring the Australian Trucking Association’s travelling road safety exhibition, the Safety Truck.

An animated version of a Ron Finemore truck combination will now be included in the videos displayed in the Safety Truck exhibition as it travels around Australia.

Australia’s transport ministers should review the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator’s budget and direct it to fix its problems with issuing road access permits, the Chief Executive of the Australian Trucking Association, Stuart St Clair, said today.

The NHVR started its full operations on 10 February, but has struggled to issue permits to operators in a timely way.
