Thanks to Cummins South Pacific, three people will receive free registration, flights and accommodation at Trucking Australia 2014 for their suggestions on how to improve chain of responsibility, safety, or wellbeing in the industry.
Trucking Australia 2014 will be held on Hamilton Island on Friday 6 and Saturday 7 June 2014.
Each prize includes:
• one full delegate registration to Trucking Australia 2014
• two nights’ standard accommodation at the Hamilton Island Reef View hotel
• one return economy air fare to Hamilton Island from any Australian capital city; and
• social dinner tickets for one guest (air fare not included).
The competition is open to all Australian trucking operators and their employees.
To enter, tell us in 100 words or less the views you would contribute and the experiences you would share at Trucking Australia 2014. One winning entry will be selected from each category of chain of responsibility, safety, and wellbeing.
Send your answer along with your name, company, position and contact details to ataevents@truck.net.au. All entries must be received by 5pm on Monday 24 February 2014.
2013 Cummins winner Athol Carter said Trucking Australia had plenty of opportunities for everyone to provide input during the sessions.
“Last year’s Trucking Australia event lived up to its promise to give industry members a chance to shape the ATA’s agenda,” Mr Carter said.
“I’d encourage everyone to be a part of the Trucking Australia 2014 experience and network – it’s a great event.”
Trucking Australia 2014 won’t have lectures from politicians, public servants or police. Instead, delegates will contribute their views and help develop action plans to:
• reduce the number of accidents
• improve the health of the industry’s staff and
• make the trucking industry an employer of choice.
Delegates will also take part in a special chain of responsibility masterclass, as well as a session on how the ATA, its member associations and operators can turn the plans made during Trucking Australia 2014 into results.
The competition winners will be contacted by phone and published in the ATA’s Friday Facts newsletter on Friday 28 February. The full competition terms and conditions can be found at www.truckingaustralia.com.au.
