Trucking industry safety exhibition on display at ITTES

30 July 2013

The trucking industry’s travelling road safety exhibition, the Safety Truck, will be on display at the International Truck, Trailer and Equipment Show (ITTES) from Thursday 3 to Sunday 6 April 2014.

Currently under refurbishment, Safety Truck is a $1.3 million mobile exhibition that uses interactive displays and videos to teach younger drivers how to share the road safely with heavy vehicles.

The exhibition will also feature photo and video displays showing the essential role trucks play in everyday life, as well as addressing common community concerns about the trucking industry.

ATA Chairman David Simon said the ITTES was a world class event for a world class industry.

“Innovation is a critical component in developing a world class transport industry for our nation,” he said.

“The International Truck, Trailer and Equipment Show is a chance to see all the local and international suppliers showcase their technology and explain how operators can utilise these developments for their businesses.

“This will be the biggest gathering of trucking industry members and suppliers in 2014, and we’re delighted to be part of it.”

The 2014 ITTES will run from 3-6 April at the Melbourne Showgrounds. For more information, go to www.trucktrailershow.com.au.
