Get in the know at TMC 2015 - registrations now open

24 June 2015

Registrations are now open for the 2015 PACCAR and Dealer TMC, the trucking industry’s premier technical and maintenance event.

Jointly presented by the Australian Trucking Association (ATA) and the Australian Road Transport Suppliers Association, TMC 2015 will take place from Monday 26 to Wednesday 28 October 2015 in Melbourne.

ATA CEO Christopher Melham said TMC 2015 would provide useful information and hands-on training for anyone involved in heavy vehicle maintenance.

“We’re all out to get the best value in our business, and we know that a proactive approach to maintenance is the way to achieve that. Replacing that $100 part on time is always better than waiting until it causes a $1,000 breakdown out on the road.

“And with Ministers agreeing to extend the Chain of Responsibility concept to heavy vehicle maintenance, it’s past time to make sure that you are taking all reasonable steps to make sure your fleet is safe and well maintained.

“At TMC 2015, attendees have access to a full program of high level technical sessions, compliance forums, and best practice workshop sessions, with multiple program streams to help you get the training and advice most relevant to your business.

“This includes a stream of sessions focusing on the new National Heavy Vehicle Inspection manual, looking at key areas of concern to enforcement agencies including wheels and tyres, steering and suspension, brakes, couplings and electrics.

“And to keep TMC affordable for everyone, we’ve kept registration at $495 – the same price it was more than a decade ago.”

Victorian Trucking Association CEO Peter Anderson said he welcomed the event, and encouraged VTA members to take advantage of having TMC on their doorstep.

“The consequences of insufficient or incorrect maintenance practices can have a huge impact on everyone involved. Through the VTA’s technical agenda, we’re always pushing to see effective, efficient and preventative maintenance in the trucking industry’s workshops.

“The VTA strongly supports TMC 2015, and I look forward to welcoming delegates and suppliers to Melbourne as they take advantage of the wealth of information available at this event.”

TMC 2015 will also include the PACCAR Parts TMC Funhouse, the TMC industry supplier Marketplace, and the Castrol Vecton Awards dinner, celebrating excellence in the trucking industry’s workshops with the presentation of the 2015 Craig Roseneder Memorial Award and the Castrol Vecton Industry Achievement Award.
