Now we have certainty...

11 September 2013

The Australian Trucking Association (ATA) has announced a one-week post election offer to allow businesses to register at a reduced rate for the trucking industry’s premier technical and maintenance event for 2013, the PACCAR & Dealer TMC.

ATA Government Relations and Communications Manager, Bill McKinley, said the offer would assist businesses that put off registering during the uncertainty of the election campaign.

With the threat of the possible carbon tax on truck fuel to worry about, we know some trucking businesses didn’t feel able to register in the earlybird period,” Mr McKinley said.

“The threat of the carbon tax is now gone. Australia and the industry have certainty, so we’re offering businesses another opportunity to secure their registration at the discounted rate.”

To use the offer, enter the code ELECTION during online registration to save $90 off the full delegate price. The promotion is available until midnight Wednesday 18 September 2013.

TMC is a fantastic opportunity gain new skills, check out the latest products and network with supplier representatives and workshop staff from all around Australia,” Mr McKinley said.

“This year, attendees will be able to share their knowledge with industry experts like leading engineer Dr Peter Hart, who will run a masterclass on electrical fault finding, and Bob Pearson, the father of the B-double.

“The program also includes hands-on supplier-run product training workshops and fantastic networking opportunities, like the Castrol Awards Dinner and the ALLRig TMC Funhouse.”

TMC2013 will run from Monday 28 to Wednesday 30 October at the Automotive Centre of Excellence at the Kangan Institute in Docklands, Melbourne. The conference is presented each year by the ATA and the Australian Road Transport Suppliers’ Association.
