Bring technical and maintenance expertise together at TMC

06 May 2016

The 2016 PACCAR & Dealer TMC will bring the technical and maintenance community together to share ideas and learn new skills at the Automotive Centre of Excellence at Docklands, Melbourne from 24 – 26 October 2016.

TMC was officially launched by the Australian Trucking Association and ARTSA at the International Truck, Trailer and Equipment Show at the Melbourne Showgrounds today.

ATA Communications and Corporate Relations Manager, Steve Power, said the 2016 TMC program would showcase high-level technical sessions for those wishing to extend or brush up their skills, as well as basic level sessions for those looking to extend their skill set into a new area.

TMC brings together some of Australia’s most experienced trucking workshop staff, and also many of our newest technicians looking to extend their knowledge. By providing sessions tailored to different baseline knowledge levels, attendees can match their interests to the session that suits them best.

“We’ve also made changes to address the tongue-in-cheek complaint we hear every year – there are simply too many great sessions for attendees to be able to get to all of them!

“Although we don’t yet have a solution to help people attend four sessions at once, TMC 2016 will expand on our existing program streams to develop distinct program pathways for those interested in particular content areas.

“The program will include sessions on regulatory issues, nuts-and-bolts technical issues, developments in health and safety, and a forward-looking stream focused on new technologies coming into the fleet.

“Of course, TMC delegates will still be able to hop between streams as desired, as well as choosing from a wide range of product training sessions and take part in the all-in plenary sessions.

“To keep TMC affordable for everyone, we’ve kept registration at $495 – the same price it was more than a decade ago.”

TMC 2016 will also include the PACCAR Parts TMC Funhouse, the TMC industry supplier Marketplace and the Castrol Vecton Awards dinner, which will celebrate excellence in the trucking industry’s workshops with the presentation of the 2016 Craig Roseneder Award and the Castrol Vecton Industry Achievement Award.
