The ATA’s submission to the Inquiry into growing Australian Agriculture to $100 billion by 2030 highlights the importance of trucking to agriculture. 

Recommendations put forward by the ATA include:

• prioritising improving access for High Productivity Freight Vehicles to incentivise the growth of Australian agriculture
• introducing independent regulation of landside port charges
• the Australian Government to implement a national fund to deliver a minimum service level standard on rural, regional and remote freight roads, and
• ensuring reforms to the Heavy Vehicle National Law improve the road access approvals system.
