Around since 1942, Air CTI have designed and developed a system for Australian conditions to manage tyre pressure and maximise tyre life. The Gen6 controller (pic) displays all information in one panel.  “Depending on load, road and other conditions, you could save 40% to 80% of tyre life; equivalent to 1 set in every 3 tyre set changes being free. Over 10 years, an investment of $7,500 could return $90,000 in savings. Not only does this translate into dollar savings, it is also much better for the environment.” Air CTI is supported and distributed by Kenworth Trucks. “We have participated in many TMC’s from many years ago. TMC 2016 has had good attendance with the right crowd coming through”.

Castrol has worked hard to grow and maintain its trusted relationships and successful supply position; spending many years earning our position of being the supplier of choice to many of Australia’s leading fleet operators. At Castrol we realise the need to adapt to changing times. It’s for this reason that we are constantly looking at product innovation. Early on this year we worked with the Australian government Dept. of environment to get our entire Castrol VECTON range certified carbon neutral. Its certainly an Australian first - if not a world first achievement in the Diesel Engine oil category. Castrol VECTON is an integral part of the trucking industry and together with leading trucking bodies, we can work to future proof our industry. At TMC 2016 Castrol had a great opportunity to deliver a workshop on some new innovative technology as part of the pc11 specifications about to be launched in December this year. TMC 2016 gave us the opportunity to network and meet with people of various skill sets and backgrounds relating to the trucking industry. The TMC 2016 conference has been a worthwhile event to showcase future technology as well as addressing current issues that face the industry.

Guardian is an intelligent driver safety solution that works in real-time, using advanced sensors and image processing technology. It tracks micro-movements of the driver’s eyes and head to identify a fatigue or distraction event. When an event is detected, the driver receives in-cab audio and seat vibration alerts that provide immediate intervention to  prevent an incident. The Guardian system is focused on incident prevention, mitigation and saving lives – not driver surveillance. While other safety cameras provide a view of the full cab and transmit continual footage, Guardian’s camera views just the driver’s face and only starts recording when it detects a fatigue or distraction event. Then data is transmitted to its 24/7 SafeGuard Center in real time for verification by our trained analysts. Guardian is an affordable aftermarket product that increases the efficiency of fleet operations over time, saving fleet owners money along with protecting their assets and people.

STEMCO has attended the 2016 ATA / ARTSA TMC event to support the commercial vehicle industry and highlight to fleets and workshops that STEMCO products are made to a higher standard of performance. STEMCO would like all delegates to visit the trade stand and develop a better understanding on how STEMCO products are made and how a fleet can enjoy the benefits like – lighter weight, longer service life, simpler and faster repair and professional education for workshops. STEMCO is also showcasing the QWIK kit “true no-ream” king pin system that will allow mechanics to undertake the repair with significant time savings. The QWIK kit holds more grease than alternative systems and this will allow fleets to significantly extend service life. The GAFF polyurethane suspension products are also on show and can help transport operators extend service life with a polyurethane product that is an alternative to rubber with characteristics that see it resistant to chemicals, UV, Ozone and petroleum products. STEMCO will also be conducting a Wheel End Clinic and Foundation Brake training at TMC. We look forward to partnering with you to deliver improved fleet performance, lower cost and longer service life.
