13 March 2018

Karlie Easter, of KS Easter Transport, has today been named the new TruckSafe Deputy Chairperson.

An industry initiative, TruckSafe is a business and risk management system aimed at improving the professionalism and safety of trucking operators nationwide, delivering competitive advantages to accredited operators.

“Karlie possesses a wealth of experience within the transport industry’s safety, compliance and human resource fields, and we are honoured she has agreed to take on this new role for the industry’s safety and risk management scheme,” TruckSafe Chair Ferdie Kroon said.

“Since joining the board in 2013, Karlie’s experience has brought a new perspective to the group,” he said.

Ms Easter oversees Safety Management at the Queensland-based Easter group. In the past, she has been an industrial advocate for Commerce Queensland and Human Resource Manager for CitiStreet.

In her role as TruckSafe Deputy Chair, Ms Easter will help lead the board to deliver demonstrable benefits to road transport operators, customers, governments and the community, as well as assist customers to meet their duty of care and chain of responsibility obligations.

“We gratefully acknowledge the great people from KS Easter for their continued support of TruckSafe, and specifically their support for Karlie to take on this role,” Mr Kroon said.
