Finalists announced for the 2013 TruckSafe John Kelly Memorial Award

The Australian Trucking Association (ATA) has today announced the finalists for the 2013 TruckSafe John Kelly Memorial Award, one of the prestigious National Trucking Industry Awards.

TruckSafe is the ATA’s business and risk management system. The finalists for this award are businesses that have demonstrated integrity and dedication to achieving the highest levels of safety and professionalism in their business.

The 2013 TruckSafe John Kelly Memorial Award finalists are:

•    De Gunst Transport, Bundaberg, Queensland
•    G&S Transport , Alice Springs, Northern Territory
•    South West Freight, Mount Gambier, South Australia

ATA Chairman David Simon said the finalists for the TruckSafe John Kelly Memorial Award were some of Australia’s safest trucking businesses.

“Companies in the TruckSafe program are twice as safe as non-accredited operators; these finalists are the best of the best,” Mr Simon said.

It’s not too late to be part of this year’s National Trucking industry Awards. Nominations are still open for the following awards:

•    Outstanding Contribution to the Australian Trucking Industry;
•    National Trucking Industry Woman of the Year; and
•    National Professional Driver of the Year.

The National Trucking Industry Awards will be presented on Friday 21 June at Trucking Australia 2013 on Hamilton Island.
